Introduction

This was my first main stage production at UWM. Bolger's poetic script was largely written in first person address, a type of text hard to sustain for early study actors. I divided the central male roles from two into four and asked colleague Bill Watson to take a role – thereby illuminating the coming of age theme in the play. The production also featured a three level metal set, expertly built by the last class of the PTTP, and flying choreography, supporting imagery of flying and falling in the text.
