Introduction

The show was adapted to provide opportunity for 14 students a production experience in a strong collaborative and innovative environment. The adaptation of the script was successful in adding clarity to Dario Fo's award wining script, which in its English version could seem over long and dependent on the clown skills of a single cast member. The adaptation process was developed through the rehearsal process requiring deep text analysis from the cast, as well as the development and implementation of design, character and visual elements. Students from the BFA and BA Theater and technical program were able to perform and contribute to this cost effective production. Reviews and notices brought considerable specific acclaim to the theater department and the individual students.
