Introduction
Presented with an Art Deco-Based set design by Kurt Sharp and movement composition (knee plays) intended to connect the audience to the elegance of Coward's era and style of theater and music. The acting training for students included a strongly structured rehearsal process combining work on issues of physical and vocal style through Viewpoints physical training to help shape a unique dramatic language, especially through improvisation with photos, film-images, and music of the period. Included in the production was a strong connection to Ten Chimneys foundation, including tours of the Lunt-Fontanne estate and an exhibit of period photos, juxtaposed with rehearsal photos, displayed in the theater lobby.
